Flooding:

Reminder to all property owners within a floodplain.  Once the flood waters have gone down, you may clean your property, however, no construction, or repairs can be made until a damage assessment has been completed and a Floodplain Development Permit Application has been filled out and filed with the Village Floodplain Manager, Nick Gottwalt.  Used sandbags (sandbags that have touched flood waters) must be disposed of, however, unused sandbags can be recycled for future use.

ATTENTION!

Because of the Rock River flooding, the Carbon Cliff Maintenance Department has had to shut down the sewer lift station at the end of 10th Avenue.  The Village is asking that all residents on 10th Avenue stop using their toilets, showers and sinks immediately as continued use could result in sewage backup into you or your neighbor’s home.  The Village has arranged for Portable Sanitation units with washing stations from Hi-Nee Huts to be delivered to your street sometime today or first thing in the morning.  The Village will notify you when the sewer system is operational so that you may begin using your toilets, showers and sinks again.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the Village Hall at (309) 796-6045 or (309) 792-8235.

Thank you.
